christmas party

Tripp's school had their Christmas program and a birthday party for Jesus yesterday. They sang a few songs and we had birthday cake. I wasn't really sure how well he would do, but he had so much fun singing!

He smiled and waved,
and danced along with Jingle Bells,

And clapped!

They made the cutest little shirts for all the children. Each class made something different and his class did a reindeer with their hands and foot. Tripp calls it his red nosed reindeer. We left his school and he kept asking for Santa Claus. Only a few more days!

and we're back!

So I found my camera cord and got busy updating our blog. I wanted to be sure to get it all in before Christmas. It's almost here and I still have more to share but there are five new posts below so keep scrolling down!

tripp's christmas tree

This year Tripp got to decorate his own little Christmas tree. He picked out his ornaments which included tractors, race cars, boots, dinosaurs and lollipops.

His favorite part was putting the star at the top.

He is really into Christmas this year. He loves looking at the big tree and helping turn the lights on everyday when he gets up and when we get home. We are really looking forward to Christmas morning.

winter weekend at the beach

The first weekend of December, Lee, Tripp and I headed down to Orange Beach for the weekend. Although we were looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend, the real reason we went down was to meet and see this precious sweet girl...

Caroline Cosby, born December 5th early in the morning. Mama Margaret had a long day/night, and was more than ready for Caroline to arrive. I got to visit several times throughout the weekend.

I loved holding and rocking her, and definitely got my baby fix. I can't wait to see Baby Caroline again soon!

We took Tripp to the playground down the street from the house. He always wants to go in the summertime, but the slides and swings are usually too hot to sit on. He had so much fun running around. I tried to knock out his Christmas card picture since he was so happy. Here are a few we didn't use.

I am sure we won't be able to pass the playground now without stopping, but it is a great place to burn a lot of energy. We had a great weekend at the beach which included eating at my favorite restaurant, Cosmos. Can't wait to get back down there again soon!

thanksgiving

We had several Thanksgiving celebrations this year. Tripp and I visited my grandmother on the day before since we wouldn't be with my family during lunch on Thursday. My grandmother loves when Tripp comes to visit.

Tripp rode his first carousel while in Birmingham. He was so excited to ride the horsie. He kept saying neigh neigh the whole time!

We joined the Whatleys for lunch on Thursday. It was a fun afternoon and Tripp had a lot of fun playing soccer with Cash. Shortly after lunch, we all crashed.

Saturday after Thanksgiving, we traveled to Dothan to celebrate with my mom's side of the family. I have a few pictures, but my mom has most of them. Along with all kind of toys, my aunt and uncle got a big blow up slide. I think the big kids had more fun than the little kids. I'll share more pics when I get them, but here are a couple of Tripp.

football fun with friends

Tripp loves "watching" football games with friends. Even though they do more playing than watching, we all have fun when we get together for big games. This year we watched the Auburn/Georgia game out in the country. It was a beautiful day and turned out to be a pretty chilly night, but we had a good time.

A couple weeks later we watched the Iron Bowl. Wow, we definitely had a good time watching the game. The second best thing to winning was knowing that Lee and my Dad were just a little nervous that Auburn was so close in almost pulling out a win!

The kids weren't too concerned with the game...

I am sure in a couple years, these boys will be watching football along side their daddies.

war eagle hey!

We took Tripp to his first Auburn game back in November for the homecoming game. It was unusually warm that day, and it did get a little hot by the time the game started. We told Tripp before the game started that the eagle was going to fly and we had to watch for it. I wasn't sure if he'd be able to see it fly among the crowd but he did and loved it!

Daddy was a very good sport and we had a fun afternoon in Auburn! War Eagle!
